MINI CAMP:  1ST - 3rd Grades                                            June 24-27, 2012

Designed specifically for younger campers to meet with Jesus.  Cabin groups are smaller and activity periods are shorter.  Campers experience campfires, crafts, hikes, games, Bible encounters and much more.  Mini Camp begins Sunday at 3:00pm and concludes Wednesday at 1:00pm.

 

EXPLORERS:  3RD - 4TH         PIONEERS:  5TH - 6TH          JR HIGH:  7TH - 9TH

This Jesus centered program is available every week of the summer.  Some of the activities include sports, archery, crafts, swimming, Bible encounters, great food, campouts and night activities.  These Sunday - Friday Camps begin Sunday at 3:00pm and concludes Friday at 1:00pm.  The Tuesday-Friday Camp begins Tuesday at 1:00pm and concludes Friday at 1:00pm.

 

 

JR SERVANT TRAINING:  10TH - 12TH Grades                      June 3 - 8, 2012 and July 1 - 6, 2012

Do you have a desire to serve others?  Come to Camp ALOMA and develop leadership skills and a servant’s heart as you help with many behind the scene duties of Camp.  You can become an essential part of our loving Christian community as we minister to the campers.

Spending money may be brought along for snacks, specialty crafts,

T-shirts and  the Camp Store.  This money will be placed on a Canteen Card at Registration. All money must be turned in at registration.

 ALOMA Family Camp

July 6 - 8, 2012

This weekend retreat is designed for families of all ages.  We will be offering several camp activities including campfires, Bible encounters, swimming, games, archery, hiking and more. While you are staying at Camp ALOMA, you will be free to travel the short trip of 5 miles into the town of Prescott.To learn more about event's taking place in Prescott, please visit Prescott's website: www.prescott.org.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Camper Grade Level: Grade Level is determined by the grade the camper is entering in the Fall of 2012.

 

Physical Exam: Required if your child has not had one in the last two years.  Form will be in your Camper Packet.

 

Registration Form & Deposit: Return the completed registration form along with your non-refundable deposit of $50.00 for all camps.  Balances are due on or before arrival. (*Your deposit applies toward the Camp fee but is not refundable or transferable)

 

Early-Bird Discount: Mini Camp:  A $10 early-bird discount is available for campers registering before April 1st or $5 discount when registering by May 1stAll Other Camps: A $15 discount is available for campers registering before April 1st or a $10 discount for registration by May 1st. This Discount does not apply to Family Camp.

 

Family Discounts: Pay full price for the first camper in the family, and then take $10.00 off each additional brother/sister’s camp fees. This Discount does not apply to Family Camp.

 

Friendship Team Discount: For every brand new camper* whose registration you send in with your own you’ll get $5 off your camp fee (limit of 2).  *Brand new means that the friend has never been to Camp ALOMA before. 

 

Cabin Mates: Campers are placed in cabins according to sex, grade & then Cabin Mate requests (limit 2).  The Cabin Mate Must be in the same grade as you. Every effort will be made to honor your request, but on occasion, the situation may prevent us from doing so. We know that you will understand. 

 

Confirmation Letter: Upon receipt of your registration & deposit, you will be sent a Summer Camper packet with further information and Health Forms to be filled out and brought to camp with you.

 

Camp Fee: Includes staff, program, meals, lodging, secondary accident insurance & camp photo.

 

 

Summer Camp qualifies as dependent care coverage.  If you qualify, please contact the Camp office for details.

 

 

 SUMMER CAMP ROUND-TRIP TRANSPORTATION

ONLY $35

 

Transportation is available from the Phoenix area only. There will be pick-up and drop-off locations in the East and West Valley. You will be notified of the time and location nearest you via email. Transportation is not offered for Mini Camp or Family Camp.

Please have parent or guardian with you at the pick-up location if possible. We will need to collect your Health Form, Medical Release Form, all prescription and/or over-the-counter medications, GCC Form, Permit to Travel, any fees$$ due, Canteen $$ and Slide Show $$ should you wish to order one. All forms from Camper Packet need to be completely filled out before you arrive at the pick-up location.

NURSES

If you are a registered nurse or a nurse’s assistant, we would love a week of your time to take care of the medical needs of our campers.  Camp ALOMA provides a place to stay, food for a week, and a free week of camp for your children.  If you would like to volunteer to be our camp nurse or to learn more about it, please contact the camp office at

ANNUAL GOURMET BURGER BASH

12:00 PM Saturday the June 23, 2012

 

Come dine with us in the cool pines at Camp ALOMA.  We will be serving delicious burgers, hot dogs and a wide variety of toppings, salads and sides.  Everyone is welcome!  We will be hosting a housewarming shower for Camp ALOMA.  Please see the list below for items you may wish to donate.

YOUNG PEOPLE

Do you love Jesus?  Do you love camp?  Do you love children?  If so, you should consider taking on the role of a servant and being a part of our summer ministry here at Camp ALOMA.

 

Our Junior Servant Program (ages 15-17) is a great way to learn about leadership and how to put the needs of others above your own.  It is also an excellent first job to put on your resume.

 

The Senior Counselors really are the heart of our ministry.  These college students are uniquely positioned to make a huge Christ-like impact in the lives of our campers.  If you would like to serve this summer,  please apply soon at www.NLOMA.org
